Concrete Driveway Services In Gold Coast
A concrete driveway is one of the most visible features of your property — and one of the longest-lasting investments you’ll make. Done properly, it lifts kerb appeal, handles decades of vehicle traffic, and presents your home well to buyers, visitors, and valuers. Done poorly, it cracks within years, stains permanently, and ages your property the moment you pull into the drive.
We build concrete driveways across the Gold Coast — from clean, plain concrete drives for new builds to premium exposed aggregate, coloured, and stamped concrete finishes for high-end homes. Every driveway we pour is properly engineered for the load it’ll carry, correctly reinforced, drained for Gold Coast rainfall, and finished by skilled concreters who understand that a driveway is on display every day. Whether you’re replacing a tired old drive, finishing a new build, or paving a sloping block, we’ll give you a straight quote, an honest timeline, and a driveway built to last.

Why Concrete is Best For Driveways
Outlasts Every Other Driveway Material
Properly built concrete driveways routinely last 30 to 50 years — far longer than asphalt, pavers, gravel, or chip-seal alternatives. No re-sealing, no re-laying, no recurring replacement costs. A genuine once-in-a-property-lifetime investment.
Adds Real Property Value
Quality concrete driveways consistently lift property values and kerb appeal. Real estate agents regularly report that a fresh, well-finished driveway is one of the highest-return pre-sale improvements — particularly in premium Gold Coast suburbs where buyers expect polished presentation.
Handles Heavy Loads Without Failure
Concrete handles cars, 4WDs, vans, caravans, boats, and trailers without rutting, cracking, or sinking — provided it’s properly reinforced and built on prepared ground. Far stronger than asphalt or pavers for heavy vehicle loads.

Concrete Driveway Finishes We Build
The finish you choose dramatically changes the look, feel, and cost of your driveway. Here’s a clear breakdown of the options we install.
Plain Concrete (Broom Finish)
The classic, cost-effective choice. Smooth concrete with a light broom texture for grip and a clean, traditional look. Suits most homes, particularly modern builds, rental properties, and budget-conscious projects. The most affordable option and the easiest to repair if ever damaged.
Exposed Aggregate
Concrete poured with decorative stone aggregate exposed at the surface. Creates a premium, textured finish with serious visual character. Excellent grip when wet, hides minor staining well, and remains one of the most popular high-end driveway finishes on the Gold Coast.
Coloured Concrete
Pigment mixed through the concrete itself for consistent colour throughout the slab. Doesn’t fade or wear off the way surface stains can. Available in a wide range of colours — from earthy beiges and warm sandstones to deep charcoals and modern greys
Stamped / Stencilled Concrete
Patterns and textures pressed or cut into the concrete surface to mimic pavers, slate, flagstone, or brick — at a fraction of the cost of the real materials. Highly customisable and very popular for character homes and Mediterranean-style properties.
Polished Concrete
Ground and polished to a smooth, semi-reflective finish. More common in commercial settings but increasingly used for modern luxury homes. Premium look, premium price, and requires careful installation to get right.
Salt-and-Pepper Finish
A subtle textured finish with fine aggregate visible at the surface. Middle ground between plain concrete and full exposed aggregate — adds visual interest at a lower price point than full exposed aggregate.

Driveway Projects We Specialise In
Different projects need different approaches. Here’s where we add the most value.
New build driveways — coordinating with builders, certifiers, and landscapers to deliver the driveway as part of a new home construction. Clean handover, proper documentation, ready for handover inspections.
Driveway replacements — removing tired, cracked, or failed driveways and replacing with new concrete. Includes demolition, base preparation, and full finish — typically completed within 1–2 weeks.
Sloping block driveways — Gold Coast hinterland and many suburbs have steep blocks. We build driveways with proper gradients, drainage, and (where required) integrated retaining walls or terraced approaches. This is where our retaining wall expertise crosses over directly.
Driveway extensions — extending existing driveways for additional parking, boat/caravan storage, side access, or workshop access. Matching new concrete to existing finishes where possible.
Decorative driveways for pre-sale — premium finishes (exposed aggregate, coloured, stamped) installed in time for property marketing. Big visual impact, strong return on investment.
Commercial and strata driveways — body corporate driveways, commercial property entries, light commercial vehicle areas. Heavier specifications, longer life cycles, full documentation.
Combined retaining wall + driveway projects — where a new driveway requires excavation, terracing, or retaining work. Single contractor, single timeline, integrated design and pricing.
Concrete Driveway FAQs
Pricing varies based on size, finish, and site conditions. As a guide: plain broom-finish concrete typically ranges $80–$120 per square metre, exposed aggregate $120–$180 per square metre, coloured concrete $110–$160 per square metre, and stamped or decorative finishes $150–$250 per square metre. A standard double driveway (around 40 m²) generally runs $3,500–$10,000 depending on finish and site prep. We provide free, itemised on-site quotes.
Most residential driveways take 3 to 7 working days end-to-end — including excavation, base preparation, pouring, finishing, and curing time. The concrete itself needs 24–48 hours before walking on it and 7 days before driving on it. Larger or more complex projects (sloping blocks, integrated retaining walls) may take 1–2 weeks.
Driveway crossovers (where the driveway meets the public road) require approval from Gold Coast City Council — we handle this lodgement as part of the project. Driveways within your property boundary generally don't require council approval, though they must comply with stormwater and drainage regulations. We assess all approval requirements at quoting stage.
Plain concrete has a smooth surface with a light broom texture — the cheapest and most traditional finish. Exposed aggregate has decorative stone aggregate visible at the surface, giving it a premium textured look and excellent grip. Exposed aggregate costs 30–50% more than plain concrete but adds significantly more visual character and is harder to stain.
Decorative finishes (exposed aggregate, coloured, stamped, stencilled) should be sealed to protect the finish, enhance the colour, and resist staining. Plain concrete can optionally be sealed for extra stain resistance but doesn't require it. We include sealing in decorative finish quotes and recommend re-sealing every 5–10 years to maintain appearance.
